hello,my poor neglected blog!!
oh,my goodness!! i didn't realise it had been this long since i posted on my blog-ooppss!! but in all fairness i haven't really been crafting and since this blog is for my crafty stuff there's been nothing to show you!!
i did however do something last week......a page in my journal!!
i saw a video on youtube and worked with it because i just felt like doing something but wasn't sure what to do-so i copied (really should've taken note who i copied from-will try and find it again!!)
i used croco crackling colour for the raised bits because that was the only thick stuff i had!!
did something on this page i've never done before-used my fingers in the paint (gosh!) and it was goood.
*when did blogger change it's new post format!!!

journal swap
my self and a few friends are starting a journal swap......never done one of these before and i have to say i'm a bit worried about producing work in other people's books.....but you don't know till you've tried something!!!
we were each made a book to work in-i chose to have a book 4x6.....very different size to work in for me!!!
i saw a project in craft stamper by jaine drake in which she used bits and pieces on a page to give texture and fancied having a go at that so used the technique on the covers of my book.
so i went through my chipboard box and ribbon stash and chose a few bits. i tried painting them with white gesso but it just wasn't covering so i had to use white acrylic paint-which only took one coat.
then i added a bit of colour and stamped onto white tissue with a script stamp which was then put onto the butterflies.........not really sure if i like it or not but it was fun trying something different :)

blue christmas.
mikes wanting a blue tree this year.......we have a beautiful white tree thats pre-lit with white lights and each year i put white and silver on it with one colour.....mike has these blue LED lights that i'm really not fond of LOL and this year he's insisting on a blue tree......i don't have anything blue so i've made a start-except these haven't turned out as blue as i thought they would!!
these rather lovely stars are from tando.....i painted them a light blue (took an hour!!) then i sponged some glue onto them and put some gilding flakes on them-this is where it all went different than i thought it would-think i sponged too much glue on because you can't really see much of the blue LOL. then i put a few little gems onto them.....and,yes,i did do both sides:)
