sally's birthday card

i seem to have negleated my blog for a while.....i'm blaming the fact that i've been showing stuff on FB!!! it's my MIL's birthday on tuesday-she'll be 70. i really struggled to do this card and had no idea what to do. mike said 'just make mum a card-forget it's her 70th!' so i decided to go with green since that's her favorite colour and i thought i might do an easel card since i've not done one of those before......this is what i came up with....mike thought it best not to put her age on it!!!

week 6-use a digi item-mine was a stamp. (for some reason the 1st 2 just wouldn't stand up straight!!)



week 7-feature a creature.



week 8-the white stuff. i know it's blue,but it is snow!!!



week 9-get sentimental......just used words!



week 10-embossing....used black embossiing powder!



week 13-make a square card...



week 14-christmas foliage and/or flowers.....i went for the whole tree!!



week 16-be insired by a christmas song/carol.........oh christmas tree!




week 18-use a die cut.....

girl's birthday cards.

it's my eldest's birthday today and my 2nd's on the 19th so yesterday i got busy making their cards-it was quite nice making cards at just gone 7.30 in the morning :)

catch up time!!!

i seem to have fallen a bit behind with the 25th club on bubbly funk (again!).....and i've forgotten to do one-sorry kaz!! i will get round to it :)
joannes challenge was to use a photo that she shared for inspiration-it was a photo of gold baubles covering a flight of stairs......my cards are a bit simple but they are gold and do have baubles on them.......





hazel asked us to do cards where the wording was the main focus.....i've only done one so far.....



this next card is made using some free papers from a magerzine (can't remember which one!) and i've copied a card that was in the magerzine because i thought it was cute :) (used a different image though!)



this card was made using some bits and pieces i got from craftwork cards...



and finally.....are you still with me LOL....
2 cards that i made using a new set of stamps from woodware.....i love how these have turned out but they were a lot of hard work because it was difficult to find buttons and brads and other bits that would fit!! i think next time i'll try just colouring them all in LOL........

25th club

the 25th club's challenge over on bubbly funk this month was to include angels on your cards........
here's my 2
the pinky one was coloured in using my limited supply of copic pens!!!(i used every colour i have LOL) not to the standards of you guys but it's the 1st time i've used them and i'm pretty pleased with this attempt :)

mums birthday card.

done a nice simple card for mums birthday which is next week. amazing that i haven't left it till the last minute,and what's even more amazing is the fact that i made it last week *gosh* LOL

lighthouse card.

it's been an age since i last did a challenge,this one caught my eye:)
over on daring card makers the challenge is 'down by the sea'. i love lighthouses so i just had to use this stamp :)

i got some new stamps on saturday,and i've used them already LOL i'm really pleased with what i've managed. my mojo has been missing for a while now so i was pleasently surprised when i'd produced these cards today :)

vellum and acetate card

another pink card!!!
stamped swirls in 2 different pinks onto pink vellum,then i stamped white swirls onto acetate,then used brillance ink to stamp onto a scrap of pink vellum. stamped and coloured the flower image and layered it all up. i've only used glue under the image so that the edges of the vellum and acetate are free!
