if you've been to my blog before you may know that i'm teaching myself crochet,it's fun at times and annoying at others!!! i've follwed my 1st pattern (yay!) it's a curly scarve :) i love how it just curled on it's own. not sure about the colour,at the moment i'm buying wool from charity shops because i don't want to shell out on nice expensive wool and muck it up!!!
This week we would like you to show some stitching in your creations, it can be faux or real, its up to you, and of course to use at least one item of BasicGrey on your creation
my time to craft This week's theme is 'Doodling'. Try adding some freehand drawing to your projects. Maybe something really simple or if you're feeling really brave perhaps try drawing your own image instead of using a rubber stamp! Get your felt tips at the ready and have loads of fun doodling!
i've drawn these bird houses,1st time i've done this and i'm pleased with them!!! a bit of the ink from the edge smudged onto the picture so i hide it behind some tiny flowers!!
This weeks challenge is one of Katharina's fabulous sketches! i enjoyed doing this:) i used hero arts stamp and the pattened paper is from little sizzles paper pad.
i haven't done a scrapbook lay out in i don't how long so i thought i'd have a go today :) i really like this one,i think it suits my daughter (who is the one in the photo!!!)
my boy asked me to make him a money box that he couldn't get into!!! i used a washed out bean tin,put a disc on the top and covered it in parcel tape. i used free papers from a magerzine to decorate it. the only ways in are by ripping the paper off or using a tin opener on the bottom. he reackons he's going to fill it before opening it!!!!
the latest dcm challenge went up on friday....... It's Keryn here and it's my turn to set the dare this week.
I'm just loving all the new scallop punches that are out at the moment, circles, ovals, squares, edges etc, etc and then there's the corner rounder and slit punches that can be used to scallop edges as well.
Use your imagination, your scallop punches, your corner rounders, your cricuts and cuttlebugs to create any card to fit any style as long as it shows scallops.
here's mine :) i cut the trees the way that kathy showed us on the bubbly funk cyber crop in september! the aper i used has a flocked pattern on it. the scallop is a chipboard stripe from woodware. And yes,i did use a peel off!!!!
been with my dh since i was 17,got married when i was 21,have 3 great kids, lots of pets-dog,snake,spider,scorpion,chickens,dragon,tropical fish tank, marine fish tank, house bunny.
i hope you like what you see,i love to craft, and will have a go at most things. i'm using my blog to show what i'm up to and i'd love to hear what you think, and always welcome for input. :)
