more journalling........

while looking at suzie's blog i was inspired by her 'take flight' page......this is mine...not liking the lettering though-couldn't get any of my pens to write clearly where i'd put glue!!



kaz has given us another prompt to use over on bubbly funk 'i used to have an open mind but then my brain fell out'!!

Bubbly Retreat.

Last weekend a few of us from bubbly funk went away for a crafty weekend-which was fab. It was lovely to see everyone again.It didn't take us long to get settled in and it was like it hadn't been a year since we last each other:)
I managed to get a few bits done over the weekend,all of which i'm plaesed with:)

Kaz and Karen gave us some ideas and tips on doing journal pages-think i might carry on with this-it is rather addictive!
I also raded Di's chipboard bag and used some of her croco paints to make a wall hanging-it just needs something to hang it with!
I finished a beading class that Paddy showed us last year-i managed to work the basic stitching out but needed Paddy to show me how to make it into a point.
and Leigh showed us how to do decopatch-that's the 'LOVE' letter's!
I also did a few beading projects:)

i seem to have fallen a bit behind with the 25th club on bubbly funk (again!).....and i've forgotten to do one-sorry kaz!! i will get round to it :)
joannes challenge was to use a photo that she shared for inspiration-it was a photo of gold baubles covering a flight of stairs......my cards are a bit simple but they are gold and do have baubles on them.......





hazel asked us to do cards where the wording was the main focus.....i've only done one so far.....



this next card is made using some free papers from a magerzine (can't remember which one!) and i've copied a card that was in the magerzine because i thought it was cute :) (used a different image though!)



this card was made using some bits and pieces i got from craftwork cards...



and finally.....are you still with me LOL....
2 cards that i made using a new set of stamps from woodware.....i love how these have turned out but they were a lot of hard work because it was difficult to find buttons and brads and other bits that would fit!! i think next time i'll try just colouring them all in LOL........

february's pages

i've managed to do my feb pages-not bad,it was only 5 days into feb :)

i remembered not to do any texture pastes on this one!!

i 1st sprayed the pages with glimmer mist that the lovely gez sent to me,then i put some chipboard butterflies down and sprayed again, then removed them once the page was dry. then i used an adirondack spray on the edges.
i cut squares from paper and stuck then on at wobberly angles!! i've used a tiny corner stamp on each of them from prima.
scribbled the days on the top of the page. used purple stickers for the title and put clear stickers with hearts on them over the top.

365 challenge challenge

over on bubbly funk some of us have got ourselves into a challenge. it's called 2010 365 challenge not sure why it's called a calendar coz it's more like a journal!!! anyway,i've decided to join in with this one because you only need to write in a 4cm square each day and i'm sure even i can manage that LOL.
here's the 1st page - january.






i've used,inks paints and foam stamps and some scraps of paper......i've also added to this challenge for myself not to buy anything to do this journal - just use what i have.

to do the title i used my cricut with a new fabby programme that dh got me for christmas -sure cuts alot2 :) took me a while because it was the 1st time i'd used it but i managed to move each letter to a different angel and weld them together,then i worked out how to cut a shadow for it :) all with the help of you tube!!

2 challenges in 1!!

........even if i did do it wrong!!!
on dcm this week the dare was to make a purple autumn card.....well i just remembered the purple bit LOL and ended up making a purple christmas card!!
on bubbly funk di shared with us a tri-shutter card for world card making day and i used that for this card :)

favour boxes

over on bubbly funk the girls have been busy doing stuff for the think pink sale,i haven't sent anything yet,but i will be sending these...........



Di send me some little boxes to decorate so that she could sell them at the think pink sale in october,i just hope she likes what i've done :)
